As lawmakers awaited President Donald Trump's decision on releasing a memo authored by Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee rebutting claims of abuse of surveillance powers by FBI officials Wednesday, they discussed their reaction to those allegations and whether they believe the FBI can still be trusted.

As of Thursday morning, Trump had not yet announced whether he would release the document, but he has to make the call by the end of the week. The White House has said he will follow the recommendations of the FBI and the Department of Justice, though he released the Republican memo last week in spite of their "grave concerns" about its accuracy.
