WASHINGTON (WJLA) - What would you do for access to Donald Trump on day one of his presidency?
Donors are being asked and some are willing to pay six, even seven figures for an up-close encounter with the president-elect.
ABC7 News got its hands on the ticket packages for the 58th Presidential Inauguration exclusive events. We shared them with people on the street on Capitol Hill.
One package costs $25,000, but that's for the least-expensive package. They only go up from there. The priciest is $1 million.
It's important to note presidents traditionally raise money to pay for their own inaugurations. Trump's team is aiming for $75,000,000. President Barack Obama raised $50,000,000 in 2013.
There are five packages in all. The more you pay, the more exclusive the event.
The $1 million package gets you a candlelight dinner with a special appearance by President-elect Trump, Vice President-elect Mike Pence, and their families. There's even a Ladies Luncheon for the right price.
If you can’t afford one of the five packages, you can still watch the swearing-in ceremony on the National Mall with thousands of other people for free. Simply contact your local representative or Senator’s office. You can also watch it on ABC7 and NewsChannel 8 on Jan. 20.
