BASF Corp. chemical spill sends two to hospital

Savannah, Ga. (WTGS)-- Savannah Fire and Emergency Services says two people are recovering from minor sulfuric acid burns after a hose leaked causing a chemical spill at the BASF Corporation in Savannah.

Firefighters responded to the chemical plant on President Street Thursday around 7:00 p.m. They say the spill was contained and the building is now stable. The two employees who were burned are expected to make a full recovery.
