Bluffton, Sc. (WTGS)-- The Bluffton bridal shop Lowcountry Bride and Gown will continue to operate as usual, despite a major setback from the recent abrupt decision by the designer Alfred Angelo.

The company filed for bankruptcy Friday, sending those who bought a dress from one of their 60 stores nationwide into crisis mode.

Christina Vicaro, the owner and sole employee of Lowcountry Bride and Gown said she was left in the dark until the day before it happened.

"I've had to call quite a few wonderful customers with very disappointing news that their gowns will not be arriving," Vicaro said in a Facebook post Saturday.

Vicaro says she has three other designers she works with and will stay in business. She will also have a big sale in the coming weeks with the remaining Alfred Angelo dresses she has in stock.
