Man wanted after deadly shooting at Statesboro hotel

Statesboro police are asking a man to turn himself in after a deadly shooting happened Friday morning at the Baymont Inn and Suites.

Tai-ri Darnell Crocker, 33 of Lithia Springs, GA, is wanted by police for the deadly shooting of 34-year-oldJeffrey Lee Raymond, of Statesboro, according to a release from the Statesboro Police Department.

Raymond died after, at around 6 a.m. police were called to the hotel after getting reports of a man shot on the fourth floor inside a hotel room.

The man, later identified as Raymond went down to the front lobby, and was transported to the hospital where he later died, according to police.

Crocker has since been identified as the primary suspect in this incident, police say.
