As colder temperatures are expected later this week, police are urgently asking for your help finding a missing man who was last seen on Friday.
Savannah-Chatham Metro officers say 60-year-old Peter Herzog was last seen around 10 a.m. on Glynnwood Drive near Skidaway Road, according to a news release.
Police have determined Herzog has medical needs that he can’t tend to without help from a caregiver.
Based on the criteria set forth by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, a Mattie’s Call was issued, the release said.
A Mattie’s Call is an emergency missing alert for a disabled or elderly adult who local law enforcement believes is in immediate danger of serious bodily injury or death.
SCMPD is urging the public to come forward with any information on the whereabouts of Herzog.
“We are very concerned for Mr. Herzog’s safety, especially as the temperatures drop,” said Special Victims Unit Sergeant Tiffany Manuel. “We are asking that the public join us in our effort to find him, by calling in with any information they may have.”
Anyone with information or who believes they have seen Herzog is asked to call 911 immediately.
