South Carolina Highway Patrol investigating fatal hit and run in Beaufort County

South Carolina Highway Patrol is asking the public for any information about a fatal hit and run.

According to a news release, Thursday night at about 10:20 a pedestrian was struck on US-17 (Charleston Highway) near US-21 (Trask Parkway) in Beaufort County, S.C.

The coroner said the pedestrian died yesterday from injuries at a Charleston hospital.

The Beaufort County Coroner identified the victim as 38-year-old Travis Bernard Lloyd of Sheldon, S.C.

The vehicle involved is believed to be a dark colored full sized pickup truck. The exact car details are not known. The vehicle could have damage to the undercarriage, according to a release.
