HAMPSTEAD, N.C. (WSET) -- On Veterans Day, you usually see red, white, and blue, but one military widow only saw pink.

Cassie Lohrey hosted a baby gender reveal party at her home in Hampstead, North Carolina Saturday.

Surrounded by a group of Marine and Navy corpsmen who served with her late husband, Ryan Lohrey, they helped reveal their baby's gender.

Lohrey died in a military plane crash in Mississippi in July.

A few weeks after his death, Cassie found out she was pregnant. She's naming their baby Ryan Jo Lohrey, her husband's first name and her middle name.

Baby Lohrey is due in March.
