Erin Thomas is an AP Award-Winning Broadcaster excited to join the FOX28 team as their forecaster.

Erin has always loved the weather. "As a little girl in Hawaii, my mom told me I would always give her a 'weather update' by pointing out the clouds in the sky," she says. Erin also experienced Hurricane Iniki, the most powerful hurricane (Category 4) to strike Hawaii in recorded history, when it hit in September 1992.

From Pacific to Atlantic, Erin has lived in 9 states, but she's proud to call northern Missouri home. (Go Tigers!) In fact, the Midwestern weather patterns made her interest and love for weather grow.

She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University and is continuing her meteorology education at Mississippi State University.

When she's not busy tracking storms, Erin loves trying new Savannah restaurants (especially Mexican food), and playing with her dog, Piper.

If you have any weather photos you'd like to share with her, or just want to say "Hi," you can send her an email at
