Sen. Orrin Hatch talks media treatment of the president: Trump doesn’t need them

(Sinclair Broadcast Group)

Sen. Orrin Hatch has served in the Senate throughout many presidencies. We discussed how the media treats the Trump administration, specifically. Here’s what he said:

SEN. HATCH: Trump doesn’t need them. He’s so media conscious and conscious and prone that he can develop his own. He’s such an interesting character. I have a lot of admiration for Donald Trump and yes, he’s flamboyant and yes, he irritates people and all that, but by Gosh, I think he’s done a terrific job as president.

BORIS: Do you think the media will report on those successes going forward? Will they be honest about it?

SEN. HATCH: I hope they wake up and realize that trump has been given us as a gift in many respects. Is he perfect heavens? No, he's gotten lots of flaws. Uh, and he's made a lot of mistakes, but by Gosh, he is president and he is trying to turn this country around and get it moving again.

And I have nothing but admiration for him.

Here’s the Bottom Line: The Trump administration believes that can be successful no matter what the media says. They are convinced that results on national security and the economy speak for themselves.
