Emma Stone has emerged as the clear front-runner in the latest Best Actress Oscar odds.

A week before the actress' new movie "La La Land" hits cinemas, America's top critics have given her a bump to number one in GoldDerby.com's popular Academy Awards race.

Stone has 16 of the 27 first-place votes, while Natalie Portman's role as Jackie Kennedy in "Jackie" has landed her six nods, with Annette Bening ("20th Century Women"), Ruth Negga ("Loving"), and Taraji P. Henson ("Hidden Figures") also making the cut.

Meryl Streep ("Florence Foster Jenkins"), Amy Adams ("Arrival"), and Jessica Chastain ("Miss Sloane") are also among critics' favorites for Oscar glory, although none of the actresses are expected to win Oscars gold in February.
