CAT to provide St. Patrick's Day shuttle service

The Mayor and Council have approved an agreement Thursay with Chatham Area Transit that will allow them to provide shuttle services for the St. Patrick's Day Festival.

Per the agreement, CAT will provide "a safe form of transportation [and] eases traffic congestion and parking demand."

A daytime parade shuttle will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with service to and from the following locations:

  • From the Westside Shopping Center on U.S. 80 in Garden City to the Intermodal Transit Center on Oglethorpe Ave.
  • From the Island Towne Centre on U.S. 80 on Whitemarsh Island to the intersection of Price and Oglethorpe Ave.
  • From the Savannah Mall to the Intermodal Transit Center

Passengers will be required to pay a $5 round-trip fare for the shuttle service.

Additionally, CAT will offer a free, fixed-route service all day from 5 a.m. on Friday, March 16 to 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 18.
