Deputies: Inmate escaped from Georgia Regional Hospital has been captured

An inmate escaped from Georgia Regional Hospital at about 11 a.m Sunday, according to the Chatham County Sheriff's Office.

Public Information Officer Emily Skolrood said Troy Hancock is wanted on charges of simple battery, theft and obstruction.

The Chatham County Police Department and Chatham County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Hancock Monday on White Magnolia Circle without incident, according to a release.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Hancock is a 24-year-old white man with short brown hair and facial tattoos, is 5’7” tall, weighs approximately 160 lbs, and was reportedly wearing a black tank top and red patterned shorts.
