Georgia Southern University hosts annual lighting of Sweetheart Circle
The Georgia Southern community gathered on Tuesday night for the annual lighting of Sweetheart Circle.
Hundreds came out to usher in the holiday season in Statesboro.
GSU's Interim President Shelley Clarke Nickel had the honor of flipping the switch.
"There's something magical about turning on the lights. So it's a great tradition that we got to share on the Armstrong campus yesterday, so it's really a lot of fun," said Nickel.
There was live music and lots of activities for the families.
Georgia Southern's mascot, Gus, even made an appearance.
