Port Royal power outage caused by truck crash
The city of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal Fire Department says a truck colliding with a utility pole Sunday morning is to blame for a large power outage in the city.
Fire chief Reece Bertholf tells FOX 28 the crash happened on Ribaut Road around 5:30 a.m. and involved a 2005 red Dodge pickup truck.
The person inside the car was not injured.
Power wasn't restored to the town for several hours.
