The Savannah Chamber of Commerce's Military Affairs Council got a head start on celebrating Veterans Day Wednesday afternoon.

Quite a crowd came out for the Chamber's annual Veterans Day Salute and military update luncheon.

In addition to a keynote speech about cyber security, Congressman Buddy Carter was also on hand to say a few words to the veterans and active duty military members in attendance.

“I want to thank you, thank you for your service," said Carter. "Every day is military appreciation day in this country and I want all of you to know how much we appreciate your service to our country. God bless you and God bless America.”

    Veterans Day is Nov. 11.
