Savannah, Ga. (WTGS FOX 28) -- The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System canceled school on Friday, Sept. 14 for potential weather impacts from Hurricane Florence.
They have designated Monday, Oct. 8, as the make-up day.
SCCPSS said this date was scheduled as a student and staff holiday on the 2018-19 academic calendar and is marked as a designated make-up day if needed.
Oct. 8 will now be a regular school day and students should report to school at their designated bell time.
SCCPSS said the official academic calendar modification will be presented during the Oct. 3 meeting of the Board of Education and is subject to final Board approval.
