Two trucks collided in a wreck injuring two Monday in the town of Port Royal, according to a press release.

The City of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal Fire Department responded to the crash at the intersection of Ribaut Road and Lady's Island Drive at 3:11 p.m.

According to the release, a work configured truck and a 1500 series Chevrolet pickup collided in the intersection, blocking traffic in multiple directions for about 30-40 minutes.

The pickup truck was significantly damaged, causing the passenger to be trapped. Firefighters used the jaws of life to get that person out safely. The driver was able to get out on their own.

Two patients were transported to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

The City of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal Fire Department, Port Royal Police Department and Beaufort County EMS were all on scene.
