The City of Bloomingdale wants to build a new multi-purpose gymnasium, and they're offering up the chance to win a car to help pay for it.

The city has partnered with Grainger Honda to raffle off a new 2018 Honda Accord EX or a 2018 Nissan Altima SV for the winner and a $500 gas card from Pump-N-Go for the second name drawn. The new vehicles are on display in front of City Hall and at the Bloomingdale History Museum.

Tickets are $50.00 each and can be purchased at the Bloomingdale City Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets will also be sold at special events.

The drawing will be held November 1st at the 7:00 p.m. City Council meeting.

The money raised will be used to build the new gym which will provide indoor recreational event and program space for citizens in Bloomingdale, Chatham County and surrounding communities.

“Bloomingdale is synonymous with community. We value family and believe that recreation is essential for our children. That is why this multipurpose facility/gymnasium is so important. This building will provide so many more activities and will make our recreation department even better.” said George Foley, Bloomingdale Recreation Director. Corporate sponsorships are also available to support the fundraising for the facility.
