Identical twins deliver babies just hours apart
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) — Babies get delivered all the time at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, but two deliveries that happened Sunday are pretty unique.
Baonhia Julia Yang and Baokou Julie Yang are identical twins.
"We both have a bond," Baokou said.
Now, that bond between them is even stronger.
"I think she found out two days after me that she was pregnant," Baokou said.
The twins delivered two healthy baby girls just two hours apart at CRMC.
"Mine weighed seven pounds and three ounces," Baonhia said. "And mine is 7 pounds exactly, so almost the same," Baokou said.
"I knew that I was going to be in labor and then I told her and then she was like, 'I’m having pain here and there too, I might be in there with you too' and then later on that day, my husband was like, 'Oh I saw your sister next door,'" Baokou said.
Now, they have quite a story to tell new baby cousins Kendra Thao and Natalie Xiong about the day they were born.
"Very amazing, shocking," Baokou said. "Didn’t know we would go through this together," she said.
